9-time MLA dies at 92

Spartan and hugely popular nine-time MLA from Uttar Pradesh Ram Sevak passed away. He was 92.
Ram Sevak was known for his austere lifestyle and simple demeanor. He used to travel by state transport buses. Ramsevak, who has not been keeping well for the past few months, died on Monday night.
Ram Sevak, who began his career in Jan Sangh, the earlier incarnation of the BJP, and became an MLA in 1969. Later, he joined the Congress and barring 1977, where strong anti-Congress winds blew, he won eight times as an MLA, everytime from Jagadishpur constituency.
He was cremated on Tuesday.
