5-Year-Old Drowns In Water Pit In Gachibowli 

Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy drowned in a water pit located on the premises of a tennis court in Gachibowli here, the police said on Sunday. The incident occurred on Saturday evening when the boy, identified as K. Karthik, was playing along with some other children with a ball near the tennis court premises.

"After the ball fell inside the court premises, Karthik entered the area and apparently found that the ball had fallen in a water pit. He entered the pit to take out the ball, but drowned," a Gachibowli police station official said. No one was present on the premises at the time of the incident, the official said, adding they have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC. Further probe is on.
