2 Men Trying To Smuggle 1.25kg Gold Arrested At Airport 

Hyderabad: The customs officials on Friday seized 1.25kg of gold from two air passengers at Rajiv Gandhi International airport, Shamshabad in Hyderabad.

According to the police, two passengers who alighted from a Dubai Airlines flight were caught by the officials when they concealed the gold and sneaked through the security check at the airport. The officials recovered 900gm of gold from one person and 350gm from the other.

The police took the duo into custody and are questioning. With the growing price of gold in the country, repeated attempts to smuggle gold from middle east countries are being thwarted by the customs officials at RGIA quite often.
