Genre: Comedy Entertainer
Comedian turned actor Sunil '2 Countries' has opened to a positive response today. The film was remade from the Malayalam hit movie '2 Countries'. After his box office debacle 'Ungarala Rambabu', the actor has high expectations from the film. Directed and produced by N Shankar, the film features Manisha Raj as female lead.
The movie also stars Tamil actress Sanjana Galrani, Naresh, Sayaji Shinde, Posani Krishna Murali, Sanjjanaa, and Raja Ravindra in supporting roles. The music for the movie is composed by Gopi Sundar.
Plot
Ullas (Sunil) is a lazy young man, who always thinks of ways of making easy money. Being a laidback fellow, he keeps borrowing money from one Patel and his debts keep mounting. One fine day, on being questioned by Patel to return his money, Ullas agrees to marry his differently-abled daughter to rid himself of debts.
Meanwhile, his childhood friend Laya (Manisha Raj) returns from US and circumstances lead the two to get married. Later, Ullas and Laya leave for US where the movie has a turning point. What happens after Sunil reaches USA forms the crux of the story.
Performances
Actress Manisha impressed the audience with her acting but failed to connect to the Telugu nativity while Sunil's comedy was below par. Senior Naresh, Raja Ravindra, Prithvi Raj, Srinivas Reddy and others played their role well.
