15 lost vision after eye operations failed at Sarojini Naidu hospital in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: As many as 15 patients have lost their eye sight after the cataract operations performed at the state-run Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital failed at Mahedipatnam in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

The kin of the victims claimed that the loss of vision was just because of the negligence of the doctors while the doctors said it was due to the infection caused by the medicine supplied by the government.

In view of the agitation by the victims, the surgeries have been halted in the hospital.
