10-Year Age Relaxation for Telangana Government Jobs

Hyderabad: The TSPSC Group 2 notification issued on Wednesday to fill up 439 posts in the state has brought double cheer for job seekers in state- it has been issued finally on the new year's eve and the age limit of 34 years stands extended to 44 for general candidates, 49 for BC, ST and ST categories and 54 for physically handicapped. The age relaxation notification issued on July 27 this year stands valid for this batch of candidates as the Group 2 notification has been issued in the same year. Though the government has relaxed the upper age limit for one year, it is valid only for the calendar year. It would have created some legal issues, had the notification been issued after December 31.

The last date for submission of application is February 9 and the written test will be conducted on April 24 and 25 for all the Group 2 posts - Municipal Commissioners, Sub Registrars, Assistant Commercial Tax Officers (ACTO) and Excise Sub Inspectors.

Another 311 agricultural extension officer posts, 44 Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board Technical Grade-2 posts and tw Deputy General Manager positions will also be filled in February and March 2016.
