Denied Video Game, BTech Student Commits Suicide 

Hyderabad: A BTech first year student committed suicide on Monday after his father reportedly "refused" to buy him a home video game console. G. Abhinay (17), first slit his hand with a sharp object and then jumped off from the second floor of his house. He sustained multiple injuries including head injury and was shifted to a nearby private hospital. However, he succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.

"The boy was asking his father to buy a video game console for the past one week which his father had apparently refused. He initally cut his hand with a sharp object and immediately went on the second floor of his house from where he jumped," said Hayathnagar SHO J. Narender Goud.
