Vijay Physically Abused Me For Questioning Infidelity: Wife

Hyderabad: Soon after actor Vijay's suicide, his wife, Vanitha spoke to media persons on Monday alleging that her husband had extra-marital affair with several women. "I tried explaining to him on numerous occasions, but he did not mend his ways. So I decided to get separated from him," she said.

She further refuted the allegations made by her husband in a selfie video. "I had never troubled him in all these years after our marriage. The divorce case is still pending in the court. I have never heard the name of Sashidhar that my husband mentioned in the video," she said.

Vanitha also sought the property from Vijay that belonged to her—"Because, I have my daughter to take care of," she said as she broke down before the media.

It is learnt that Vijay was also depressed after his car was taken away by Vanitha accompanying her lawyer. The issue might have led to his suicide in the morning, suspected police.

Vijay committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan at his flat in Yousufguda on Monday morning. Vijay's mother along with neighbours broke open the door to find Vijay hanging from the fan.
