Oppn gagged, says YSRCP, stages sit-in inside the house

YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday expressed deep dissatisfaction over Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad denying mike to the leader of the Opposition.

The YSRCP chief said that it is both unjust and undemocratic. He said he was being denied sufficient time to speak on key issue like the annual budget. He said he was interrupted 14 times by members for around 52 minutes in Monday's session.
Jagan had even accused speaker for setting wrong precedent of silencing his mike.
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members on Tuesday staged a dharna in the Assembly against the speaker for not being given a chance to speak in the assembly during the question hour.
As soon as the house convened, the YSRCP leaders were on their feet asking permission to speak in the House on the SC-ST sub-plan.
As the speaker remained unmoved, the YSRCP MLAs trooped into the well and staged a demonstration. They gagged themselves with black cloth. Criticising the way Assembly proceedings are being conducted, the YSRCP members alleged that the main opposition was being denied its right to raise the voice of the people.
YS Jagan expressed his dissatisfaction over Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad for allowing frequent interruptions during his speech.
