 - Sakshi Post

Love is an emotion that has inspired  art, poetry, songs and stories across ages and yet it remains mysterious and complex. This Valentine's Day, let Zee Theatre treat you to five stories that will help you explore the many facets of love and celebrate it in all its glory. Here is an overview of the teleplays that will be screened on Tata Play Theatre, Dish and D2H Rangmach Active, and Airtel Spotlight on February 14.

Kahaani Mitra Ki

'Kahani Mitra Ki' is a sensitive adaptation of Vijay Tendulkar's path-breaking Marathi play 'Mitrachi Goshta' and revolves around Bapu and Mitra, two unlikely friends in a Pune college in the 1940s.  Things take a turn when Mitra confides in him that she is different and has feelings for other women instead of men. Nama, a girl Mitra meets while performing a college play, becomes the object of her desire. These innocent teenagers get caught up in a web of their own chaotic feelings, the aggression of Nama’s jilted lover, and the stigma attached to their arrangement from society. Amidst so much negativity, their loyalties are stretched thin, leading to consequences that are beyond anyone's control. Directed by Akash Khurana and adapted by Sai Haval, the star cast includes  Sayalee Phatak, Parna Pethe, Abhay Mahajan, Om Bhutkar and Priyanshu Painyuli.
