UEFA EURO 2021: Cristiano Ronaldo Sets Another Record In Football

Cristiano Ronaldo, the world's most famous footballer, has tied Alie Daei for the joint-highest goal total in international football with 109 goals. In the 2020 European Championships, Ronaldo accomplished the milestone against France.

In his 178th international appearance, the 36-year-old Ronaldo, the top scorer in European Championship history converted his second penalty of the game in Budapest to tie the record.

Ronaldo has five goals in three Group F games, making him the first player to feature in five editions of the event. The Juventus striker now has 14 European Championship goals, five more than the French great, Michel Platini.

In his international career, the Portuguese player has scored against 43 different countries in tournaments such as the FIFA World Cup, UEFA Nations League, UEFA Euros, and international friendlies.
