Bus Mows Down 7 Pilgrims Sleeping On Pavement In UP

Bulandshahr: Seven people, including four women and three children died after a private bus ran over them near Gangaghat in Bulandshahr's Narora early Friday morning.

The victims were sleeping on the pavement and were on a pilgrimage, according to a leading daily.

Initial reports suggest that the victims were from Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. They were returning from Naraura Ghat after taking a dip in the Ganges.

The driver is absconding, police said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
