Rahul’s Jibe At Modi On Advani in Bad Taste: BJP

Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi - Sakshi Post

Congress president Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being disrespectful to his mentor LK Advani. Addressing a rally of party workers in Mumbai, he said that Congress party had given more respect to LK Advani than Modi had. “LK Advani has been the guru of Modi, but I have seen in events that Modi does not even respect his guru,” “Today, I feel very sad for Advani.” said the Congress president.

Later Mr.Gandhi took to twitter and posted a video as a proof of his statements. In the video there was a comparision of Modi before and after he becomes PM. “In The BJP they cut down their own gurus. Humiliating Vajpayee, Advani, Jaswant Singh and their families is the prime minister’s way of protecting Indian culture.” he tweeted.

The BJP hit back strongly to Gandhi's remarks citing ill-treatment of senior leaders like Pranab Mukherjee in a reference to the criticism faced by Mukherjee for attending an event organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. BJP spokesperson Anil Baluni in response to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks, tweeted, “He does not even seem to know the kind of politics he is doing. It was bizarre to see the president of the country’s oldest party stoop to such a low.”
