'National media ignoring the fight for special status'

The national media is ignoring the fight taken up by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for special status for Andhra Pradesh, said IJU secretary general Devulapalli Amar.
Speaking to the media, after meeting YSR Congress party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Guntur on Monday, he said the granting of special status will have huge benefits to the state in terms of infrastructure and employment opportunities. The granting of special status was one of the poll promises of the BJP, he reminded on the occasion.
He said the central government will take notice and understand the need for special status only when the national media highlights the deeksha taken up by the YSR Congress party. He called on the state and central governments to understand that the deeksha by YS Jagan is for the development of the state.
