Kodandaram Floats New Political Outfit To Counter KCR’s TRS

Hyderabad: Taking the ruling TRS party head-on, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram Reddy informed his decision to float a new political party. The announcement came on the sidelines of TJAC General Body Meeting held at Turkayamjal in Ranga Reddy district.

"We need to form a political party to fulfil dreams and aspirations of Telangana people while TJAC will continue to retain its apolitical face. The decision was taken after a pressing demand from TJAC leaders who attended the meeting,” he informed an English daily.

He further added that chief minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao failed to address the issues at the grassroots and is only giving sops to woo the farmers keeping in view of the coming elections. "TRS has only compensated handful of families over the death of farmers with meagre amount instead of ex-gratia of Rs 6 lakh," he pointed out.

Talking about his modus-operandi of reaching people, he said they have chalked out action plans like bike rallies and padayatras.
