Kanna Lakshminarayana Hospitalised

Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Kanna Lakshminarayana suffered ill health in the early hours of Wednesday. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment after his blood pressure levels shot up.

Doctors have advised two days' best rest to the AP minister. It's a known fact that Kanna quit BJP on Tuesday.

It is learned that he was disappointed after the BJP chose MLC Soma Veeraju as BJP state unit president. Party sources said he was hopeful about holding the top party post till the last minute.

“I have joined the BJP after severing my ties with Congress and since then been contributing to the party with utmost sincerity. I have toured the entire State bolstering the ranks of partymen, but the party leadership ignored me on the pretext that I was once a Congressman. This pained me and after consulting my supporters, I have decided to join the YSRCP,’’  Lakshminarayana told an English daily.
