Justice Goes to ‘Dogs’ In Pakistan

Bhakkar (Pakistan): He attacked a child and injured him badly. So, he was put behind the bar for a week. Later, the jury pronounced death sentence. This is the run-of-the-mill crime story, one would say. No... It's not because the 'He' in this story happens to be a canine.
It had already served its punishment and death sentence is unacceptable. I will knock the doors of higher courts to get justice for my pet
The dog attacked and injured a child recently in Pakistan's Bhakkar and the parents of the child approached assistant commissioner Saleem for justice.
Citing 'humanitarian' grounds, Saleem sentenced the dog to death for biting the child. Dog owner Saleem felt the ruling is unfair as the dog has already served solitary confinement for a week.
"It had already served its punishment and death sentence is unacceptable. I will knock the doors of higher courts to get justice for my pet," said a determined Jameel.
