‘Swachh Social Media’ By Ananya Pandey To Fight Social Media Bullies

Student of The Year 2 actress, Ananya Pandey has recently launched the 'Swachh Social Media' campaign in order to curb social media bullying. She has also started another campaign called ' So Positive' in order to spread positivity across social media.

"My reason to start So Positive and #SwachhSocialMedia campaign was inspired by what Mahatma Gandhi, who had said, 'Be the change that you wish to see in the world'," she said to a daily.

Interestingly, the 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was also launched on Gandhi Jayanti and Ananya Pandey also took this initiative to stop bullying on social media on the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji this year.

The teen sensation has taken a step forward towards spreading positivity across social media and has pledged for "Swachh Social Media". She has also urged her fans to take a pledge for the same.

She took to social media, a photo-sharing site, Instagram and kickstarted the 'Swachh Social Media' campaign with a video in which she speaks about the cons of social media bullying and how it is affecting social media users.

Sharing the video- Ananya Panday shared, "We all need to be the change that we want to see around us ? Today, I have pledged that I won't use abusive language on social media with the intent to hurt someone If you also feel that we need our social environment to be cleaner and more positive, please take this step for a #SwachhSocialMedia #SoPositive @sopositivedsr"

Talking about her own social media bullying experience, she said that she feels worst when someone comments on her family because her younger sister and mother are not part of the film industry. She also added that she has grown a thick skin for people trolling on her looks or her physical appearance.
