Education crucial for quality life: Sharmila

YSR Congress party leader Sharmila on Saturday said that higher studies would help students land great opportunities and poverty can be eradicated with good education.

Addressing the students of Mamatha college in Khammam, she said that Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's vision was to bring out the talent of rural students and give better education to them. "He implemented fee reimbursement scheme to realise that dream. Unfortunately, after his demise the present government  dumped his schemes," she said, adding, "Due to the government's negligence over the fee reimbursement scheme, students are unable to continue their studies."
"He made healthcare a top priority as he was a doctor. Arogysree, 108 and 104 schemes were implemented as YSR knew the value of medical care," the YSRCP leader told medical students.
Sharmila's Maro Praja Prastanam padayatra which entered 6th day in Khammam district  on Saturday, began from Mamatha medical college. She will visit Mamatha centre, Illendu cross roads, Khanapuram, Ballepalli before halting at Sivayigudem cross roads.
