Clear Ambiguity On Polavaram, YSRCP MPs Tell Nitin Gadkari

YSRCP MPs presenting a memorandum to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari - Sakshi Post

The YSRCP has demanded that Union Minister for Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari to clear the ambiguity over the construction of the Polavaram project, which is the lifeline for Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Y Vijai Sai Rddy, YS Avinash Reddy and Varaprasad met Gadkari in New Delhi on Friday and demanded a comprehensive probe into the Polavaram project construction. They sought to know why Andhra Pradesh Government had taken up the responsibility of the project work when the Central Government was duty-bound to construct it as per the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act.

Later, speaking to mediapersons, Rajamohan Reddy said that there was large-scale corruption in the Polavaram project and that the Chandrababu Naidu government was interested only in the kickbacks. He also said that the YSRCP MPs also appealed to the minister not to privatise the Dredging Corporation of India.
