Addressing a massive public meeting on the 47th day of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra here on Saturday, he said the chief minister promised special status for AP and that it is necessary to transform the state within 15 years. However, none of the election promises were fulfilled during the four years of the TDP government, YS Jagan said. The YSRCP Navaratnas are the only solution for the welfare of all sections of the society, the YSRCP leader said.

Jobs for every household, unemployment pension, reduced electricity charges and essential commodities at fair price shops are some of the promises made to the people by the TDP government, he said. However, during the past four years unemployment pension was not paid to the youth, the electricity charges went up from Rs 60 to Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 and also only rice is available at the ration shops down from nine items during the YS Rajasekhara Reddy government, YS Jagan pointed out.
