'Capital does not need 1 lakh acres'

Andhra Pradesh PCC president N.Raghuveera Reddy questioned whether one lakh acres are really needed for building the new capital of the state in Vijayawada.

Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Saturday, he said, “Even in Hyderabad, the government organizations are set up in few hundred of acres only.”

He demanded that the TDP government reveal the details of all government lands in and around Vijayawada.

“The people in power are trying to acquire one lakh acres with a secret agenda. The agenda is to benefit those who had financially supported TDP in the last elections,” said Raghuveera Reddy.
