Billiards Legend Michael Ferreira Arrested In Multi-Crore QNET Fraud

Hyderabad: Michael Ferreira, four-time national billiards champion and Padma Bhushan awardee, along with three others was arrested by Central Crime Station (CCS) sleuths on Tuesday in the multi-crore QNET multi-level marketing (MLM) fraud case. The arrest was confirmed by CCS DCP Avinash Mohanty in the MLM fraud.

The accused Michael, Magaral Balaji, Srinivas Vanka and Malcolm Desai were brought to Hyderabad after arresting them in Mumbai on a prisoner transit.

A complaint was lodged by eight persons this year against Hong Kong company QNET for cheating them to the tune of several lakhs and also failing to provide e-commerce jobs as promised.

Several cases were registered against QNET at Madhapur, Banjara Hills etc.
