Actress, BJP MP Suffers Cerebral Stroke

Popular actress and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly suffered a cerebral stroke had to be hospitalised in a Kolkata hospital.
On Friday evening, Roopa Ganguly complained of severe headache and giddiness. She also complained of blurred vision. She was immediately rushed to AMRA Hospital in Koltaka's Salt Lake. BJP state vice president Joy Prakash Mazumdar said her condition is stable, but did not specify when she would be discharged.
Roopa Ganguly became hugely popular for her role as Draupadi in TV serial Mahabharat. She began her career as a child artiste and acted in several films. In 2015, she joined the BJP and soon emerged as a firebrand leader. She contested and lost the assembly elections. Later, she was nominated by the BJP to Rajya Sabha.
