ACB Digs Out Mining Official’s Illegal Properties

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday conducted simultaneous raids on the residences of Assistant Director of Mines Gopu Sudhakar Reddy in Suryapet and other places in the state. Properties worth Rs2 crore were found, which includes one acre of land at Kodad, a warehouse at Huzoornagar and 37 acres of agricultural land at Jangon, said DSP (ACB) Madhusudan Reddy.
The raids were also conducted at his relatives’ houses in Hyderabad, Warangal, Bhongir and Huzoornagar. The ACB teams comprising two DSPs and four Inspectors conducted the raids after receiving complaints on Sudhakar for having assets disproportionate to his income.
