SUV Rams into Devotees on Tirumala Ghat Road

Tirupati: An SUV vehicle created havoc on the first ghat road of Tirumala on Thursday, when it hit four devotees resulting in severe injuries to them.

Two of the injured, Madhu and Kumar, lost their legs in the accident and doctors at SV Ruia Hospital termed their condition as critical. The two are said to be natives of Bengaluru and were trekking to Tirumala when the SUV hit them.
The SVU, a Toyota Qualis, was travelling from Tirumala to Tirupati when the driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle following a brake failure.
Three other devotees sustained minor injuries in the accident.
