Pushkaram stampede; Shock and disbelief

Just few hours after the Godavari Pushkarams began, tragedy has struck when 24 persons were killed and several were injured in a stampede at the Pushkar Ghat, the main river Ghat in Rajamundry.

Reacting to this tragedy, many politicians have turned to Twitter to express their condolences. Also, #Rajamundry is trending top on twitter.

It is regrettable that lives are lost in stampede at Rajahmundry Ghat. Request people not to panic. Situation brought under control. (1/3)
