Shoaib Akhtar's Shocking Prediction on Virat Kohli's Retirement

 - Sakshi Post

Virat Kohli is one of the greatest cricketers in cricket history. He ended his two-year dry spell at the recently concluded Asia Cup when he hit the 71st international century of his career. Kohli finished the tournament as the tournament's second-highest run scorer, with 276 runs from five games, including a century and two half-centuries.

Now the cricket teams' main focus is on the T20 World Cup 2022, which is slated to begin in October. Former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has stated that Kohli may retire from the shorter format following the World Cup.

"After the T20 World Cup, Kohli could just retire. He may do so in order to lengthen his time in the other forms. If I were him, I would have looked at the whole picture and made a decision, "Akhtar remarked.

So far, Kohli has played 104 games for India across all three formats. He has scored 3584 T20I runs with an average of 51.94.

BCCI has announced the squad for the prestigious event. Before the T20 World Cup, India will play the T20I series against Australia and the T20I and ODI series against South Africa.
