Story: Dhanush Tej (Sidhu) wants to become a successful entrepreneur, his aim is to stand on his own legs. He  slips into depression after facing a huge loss in business. Dhanush's parents can't see him reeling under pressure over the business loss. They suggest that their son Sidhu shift to Hyderabad. After moving to Hyderabad, Dhanush falls in love with Vennela (Shweta Avasthi), who is a very ambitious girl. Her dream is to become a fashion designer, she wants to fulfill her dream before she gets married to a doctor. Shwetha Avasthi gets engaged to a London based doctor Harish, but she pursues her dream of becoming fashion designer against the wishes of her in laws. How Sidhu and Shwetha become friends, where their relationship will end? Will Sidhu and Vennela's relationship affect her wedding with the doctor has to be seen on the big screen.

Performance: Dinesh Tej who rose to fame with Hushaaru, has pulled of his role pretty well. He needs to work on his comic timing. Shwetha Avasthi has done a fantastic job, but her character doesn't have much weightage in the film. Sanjay Swarup, Guru Raj, Sandhya Janak have also done equal justice to their roles in the film.

Verdict: Merise Merise makers have attempted to make a movie for the  family audience. The film marks the comeback of Telugu romance to the big screens. Movie buffs who have had enough of action on OTT with commercial films, will find  Merise Merise as a breath of fresh air. The debut Director, Pavan Kumar does a decent job on helming the project. The film has been backed by Kothuri Entertainments LLP.
