Kate Spade Fans Share Their Memories To Mourn Designer’s Death

Kate Spade, a celebrated fashion designer, was found dead at her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday in an apparent suicide. She was aged 55.
Following the incident, people took to social media to post their personal stories associated with the brand- of the first purchase, or a gift; in an effort to pay tribute and express admiration for the designs of the fashion legend.
A ‘Kate Spade’ has been a memorable collectible for entry-level fashionistas everywhere. It signified a rite of passage for women and men alike to move on from no-name brands to designer items.
This fashion icon who paved the way for all women who were trying to do something on their own, has inspired people to ‘live colorfully’ and taught them how to celebrate life.
Kate Spade fans also reacted by calling it their first ‘grown-up’ handbag which provided them an accessible and affordable entry into designer fashion. They signified the starting of their careers for some women.
Many people, including celebrities like Chelsea Clinton, Ivanka Trump and Mindy Kaling, posted fond regards of their first Kate Spade bag in remembrance of the spirited designer.
