Roadside Haircut Costing Rs 28,000?

Harald Baldr getting his hair cut on the streets of Ahmedabad - Sakshi Post

Norwegian YouTuber Harald Baldr, famous for his travel vlogs, was in India, exploring the place and checking things off his bucketlist as he explored.

One such activity that he wanted to do was get a haircut on the roadside by a roadside barber. When he was in the streets of Ahmedabad, he found a guy and headed to his corner to get himself a haircut.

The barber was overjoyed at seeing a foreigner coming to his pavement for a haircut from him and so the barber had started to take a video of everything happening as well. "As soon as it's over, I'm gonna try and grab someone around here that speaks English. I'm very curious to know how this business - how it's working. How many customers he has per day. And I would like to hear if he has to pay anyone to be on the pavement for salon," the YouTuber, seated on a chair, says during his haircut.

At the end of the haircut, when the barber was asked as to how much needs to be paid, without any hesitation he said Rs 20.

Normally we would expect him to jack up the prize just to hit jackpot through a lesser informed foreigner, but he did not do that. Instead he chose to charge him the rate he would charge anyone else coming to him for a haircut.

Touched by the barber’s kindness and honesty Harald took out $400 (Rs 28,000) and gave it to the barber. He immediately found an English speaking man to explain the donation to the barber.
