Jagan meets Rajnath, seeks support for 'Samaikyandhra' - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress Party  chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met BJP president Rajnath Singh  in Delhi on Friday and sought BJP's support in keeping Andhra Pradesh united.

During the meeting, that lasted about half an hour, Jagan, who was accompanied by other party leaders discussed the urgent need to stop Andhra Pradesh bifurcation from becoming a reality. 

Speaking to reporters, post meeting, Jagan questioned if democracy still existed in India? He also urged all the opposition parties to come together and to oppose the bill. He added, "What is happening Andhra Pradesh today might happen in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka, tomorrow."

"I am hopeful that wisdom would dawn upon all opposition parties and all of them would stand up against this injustice", he added. Scenes of unprecedented pandemonium were witnessed in Lok Sabha yesterday over the introduction of the Telangana Bill with expelled Congress member Lagadapati Rajagopal even using pepper spray in the House during the chaos. The act resulted in the hospitalisation of three MPs while 16 legislators from AP were suspended over the disruption

"Combined effort is needed on the issue. The UPA government is going about the bifurcation method in an undemocratic manner," he said .
