Hyderabad Students Fail To List In Top 20 In CAT 

Hyderabad: The Common Admission Test (CAT) results declared on Monday showed a shoddy image as Hyderabad students failed to secure a rank in top 20. Incidentally, the top 20 candidates were all men who scored the perfect 100 percentile in CAT 2016.

“The top 20 scorers are all males, all engineers. However, in the sectionals, many non-engineers and women candidates have scored 100 percentile,” said Professor Rajendra K Bandi, convener.

The exam took place on December 4 last year, conducted at 195 centers across the country and attended by 1.95 lakh candidates.

By Monday evening, several CAT candidates had also started receiving calls from various IIMs, including IIM-Ahmedabad and IIM-Bangalore.

Meanwhile, some of the IIMs have also announced the shortlisted names of candidates for personal interviews on their respective websites
