'Don't drag NTR's name for personal gains'

'Don't drag NTR's name for personal gains' - Sakshi Post

Even as TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister Purandeswari are battling over credit for getting Centre's nod for installation of NTR's statue in Parliament, there's a new row.

It seems the news has not gone down well with the family members of the late chief minister NT Rama Rao family, especially his wife Lakshmi Parvathi.
The row has only intensified after news of erecting the late leader's statue in Parliament broke.
While Daggubati Purandeswari claims that she has been authorised to go ahead with the installation, TDP is crying foul. In the midst of this, NTR's wife Lakshmi Parvathi says this is a big political ploy by both the TDP and Purandeswari.
She hit out at the duo saying nobody has a right to claim credit for her husband's statue installation in the premises of the Parliament.
In an interview to Sakshi TV, she slammed both Naidu and Purandeshwari saying, "They are playing dirty politics. As the wife of the late leader, I am commanding that they not drag my husband's name for personal gains." She also warned them against carrying out any ceremonies in the name of NTR without her presence.
She also added that Purandeswari had no right to sponsor the statue being a Congress leader, as her husband opposed the party all along.
Also, she slammed TDP honcho, Chandrababu Naidu saying it was he who was responsible for NTR not being awarded the Bharat Ratna!
Lakshmi Parvathi said that the duo was using the name of NTR to gain political mileage which will not be tolerated.
