Whats App Chat Leads To Altercation, BTech Students Stab Colleague

A small tiff over friendly chat in social messenger group Whats App got amplified into a big altercation in Petbasheerabad area of Hyderabad. This led to a group of friends stabbing another student. The student suffered critical stab wounds and is now being treated in a hospital.

Some students of Narsimha Reddy Engineering College in Maisammaguda of Pet Basheerabad area have created a Whats App group for group chatting. Recently, there was an altercation between two students Rohit and Bhuvaneswar, both 20 years of age. On Thursday night, Bhuvaneswar sent a message to his group in the social messenger platform that he was going to thrash Rohit on Friday. On reading this, Rohit gathered some of his friends and attacked Bhuvaneswar as he was alighting from the college bus.

They also injured those who came to help Bhuvaneswar. The boy suffered stab injuries on his face, limbs and back. He has been rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is being treated. Bhuvaneswar's parents allege that four boys overpowered him while Rohit stabbed him indiscriminately.

The college management tried to hush up the matter, but the news somehow petered out and the police have begun investigation.
