Sharmila unveils her fiery side, slams Botsa

Till now, Sharmila was known only to pinpoint at government's anti-people policies. But this time around, the YSRCP leader has shown her fiery side. In a first counter-attack against Congress, the YSRCP leader has silenced her critics with her fitting reply to PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana's remarks against her family.

"It is known to everyone that Botsa Satyanarayana is a big liquor mafia don. There is no other person who does liquor business like Botsa in the state," said YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila, adding, “It’s sad that people like Botsa are our leaders. By making him the PCC chief, is Congress following Gandhism or Brandyism?” she asked addressing a public meeting in Parvathipuram.

Congress always claim that  Mahatma Gandhi is their inspiration, then how can a liquor don be made the state PCC president? asked Sharmila.

Recalling her earlier speech, Sharmila said: "We had questioned Botsa Satyanarayana if it was right on the part of a PCC chief-cum-minister to run a liquor business as benami. We had asked if it was right to transfer the investigating officer probing on his benami business."

When Botsa heard all these, he was dead scared. He feared that he will lose his posts if the Congress High Command heard our statements, she said, adding that Botsa was making baseless and meaningless  statements against YSR.

We have never criticized Botsa personally—his habits or about his family members—that is our culture. But Botsa has stooped so low as to criticize even a person who's no more alive. "Everyone says that people suffered some way or the other after the death of YSR but there is only one person who benefited most and he is Botsa."

It is common for leaders like Botsa, Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Anam brothers to cozy up to new leaders and abandon old leaders. She termed them as 'Bajhan batch'. "Botsa questioned our lineage. Let me tell him that we are proud to be a part of the YSR legacy? Everyone knows Rajasekhara Reddy has credibility. Botsa's credibility reflects in the criticizms being voiced by the people from his own constituency," she signed off..
