Postal ballots first, EVMs later

“Counting of postal ballots will be taken up first and the counting of EVM votes will be done later,” State chief electoral officer Bhanwar Lal said on Friday.

Police made elaborate security arrangements at the counting centres in view of counting of votes on Friday.

Counting of votes of EVMs will start at 8.30 am after the counting of postal ballots is completed.

Result of first round is expected within ten minutes of beginning of counting.
