The counting of votes for the all-important Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will start at 8 am on Friday, and first results can be expected to trickle in by 10 am.

The entire process is expected to wrap up by 5 pm, and by 12 noon, a clear picture of government formation, both at centre and state will start to emerge. 

As per reports, officials have arranged for close to 6,955 counting tables in 437 halls, and one observer will be appointed in each of the centre to monitor the proceedings in undivided Andhra Pradesh. Results of each round from EVM, usually come in ten minutes. Technical issues that can emerge have also been taken into consideration and personnel from BHEL, among others have been employed.  Close to 25,000 people have been drafted for the counting day

Charminar Assembly constituency is expected to come up with the first results and the counting is expected to finish in 13 rounds.  On the other hand, among LS counting,  Malkajgiri with 45 rounds, will be the longest. 

To stop untoward incidents, liquor sales have been stopped since Thursday midnight.
