Apple Ends Work From Home Option To Its Employees, Deets Inside

 - Sakshi Post

The tech giant Apple has made an announcement that it will soon be ending the work from home option for its employees worldwide and asked them to return to the office on February 1, 2022. As per the report in The Information, the company will let employees work for up to four weeks remotely each year.

The internal memo sent by CEO Tim Cook to the staff said that Apple wants staff to return to offices on February 1 to begin a "hybrid work pilot," under which employees will work out of the office for one or two days each week.

While the company offered two weeks of remote work per year earlier, it added two more weeks to give "more opportunities to travel, be closer to your loved ones, or simply shake up your routines".

While some work three days a week, those whose need for the office is greater will work four or five days. After witnessing a surge in the Delta variant of COVID-19, Apple asked the employees to stay at home at least till January 2022 and said that it would give one-month's prior notice to rejoin work in-person.

In June, the Apple CEO said that employees would need to return to their offices three days a week starting in early September. That date was then moved to October, and then to early 2022.Some employees even pushed back against Apple’s hybrid model at work.
