AP CM YS Jagan To Launch Unique Online Waste Exchange Platform

 - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: To make things easy for industrial units in waste management and waste disposal, the Andhra Pradesh Environment Management Corporation (APEMC) has come up with an online platform. The corporation will extend its support in picking up waste from anyone who registers on this online platform and treating them in a non-polluting manner. Andhra Pradesh Chief MinisterYS Jagan Mohan Reddy
will formally launch APEMC’s online waste exchange platform on Friday on the occasion of 'World Environment Day 2020'.

The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) has prepared a pollution-free treatment plan for effective disposal of waste from different organisations and companies in the state.  State Forest and Environment Minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy and several other dignitaries will attend the event. Incidentally, this is the first online waste exchange platform in the country.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will also unveil a poster on this occasion. Industries which do not have a proper treatment system for efficient handling of pollutants and other waste being generated from their premises must hand over the waste to agencies that are specialized in scientifically managing and disposing hazardous wastes including e-waste.

The companies have to pay charges for APEMC and the waste management companies for effective disposal of wastes being generated in their firms, using this online waste exchange platform.

The APEMC will work in coordination with APPCB for handling the waste generated from different small and large-scale industries in the state.

For the effective operation of this plan designed by APEMC, it will make all the necessary arrangements to the companies to hand over the waste to APEMC in compliance with the environmental rules and regulation
