Vijaya Sankalpa Sthupa: A Pylon To Mark YS Jagan’s Praja Sankalpa Yatra  

Ichchapuram, Srikakulam : YSRCP Chief and leader of the Opposition Andhra Pradesh has unveiled the Vijaya Sankalpa Sthupa, a pylon to mark the successful completion of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra. The pylon is located on the banks of Bahuda river, two kms away from Ichchapuram of Srikakulam district where the padayatra has come to a grand conclusion on Wednesday.

The pylon reflects the spirit of the padayatra (walkathon) and will recall the assurances given to the public by Jagan. 91 feet high, it has 13 steps from the foundation to the base of the pylon. These 13 steps symbolize the number of districts in the State of Andhra Pradesh and is built on four pillars with three storeys. Two more steps reflect the beginning of the padayatra at Idupulapaya, while another reflects the concluding point of Ichchapuram.

In the first floor of the pylon, photographs of YS Jagan’s padaytatra are displayed and in the second floor, photos of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy are showcased. The third floor is in a circular form with the YSRCP flag 15 feet in height from the dome of the floor.The pylon is built with galaxy granite .

This monument, built between Visakhapatnam Howrah Railway Track and Visakhapatnam Bhubaneswar National Highway, can also be seen from a distance of about 2 kilometres. Not only this, travelers passing through the rail and roadways can see it very easily and can come here to see the monument. The pylon is a symbol of YS Jagan and his father the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's struggle for the protection of the interests of the people of Andhra Pradesh and also continues to be an inspiration for future generations.

Accompanied by party leaders and followers, YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy unveiled the    Vijaya Sankalpa Sthupam at Ichchapuram on Wednesday afternoon.
