Minister Ganta still hopes for unified AP - Sakshi Post

Andhra Pradesh Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for Infrastructure & Investments and Ports said that gauging from the developments in Delhi, the popular mood is against bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

"I am not expecting the AP re-organisation Bill, which was rejected by the state assembly, to be tabled in the Parliament," said the minister.

The minister said that he was holding discussions with Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on the issue of staging a dharna at Jantar Mantar tomorrow. "I am against the bifurcation of the state," reiterated the minister.

With Telangana Bill being sent back to the President in a special aircraft on Monday, the activities of leaders from all political parties intensified. A majority of state leaders have left for Delhi. 

They are personally seeking the support of President, Prime Minister and other senior ministers in favour of their respective stands on the issue of bifurcation.
