Legend's success to decide Balayya's entry into politics?

Balakrishna may announce his political ambitions after the release of his much awaited film, ‘Legend’. Many feel that it depends on the success of the film.

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna had once said that he was interested in standing for Assembly elections, and not for the Parliament. 

He had said that if one becomes an MLA, one would be able to serve people better and at the same time play an active role in state politics. However, this wish has become a big headache for TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

 Reports are doing rounds that Balayya fans association members from Hindupur met him and reportedly discussed the political situation in Hindupur constituency.  

The buzz in the political circles is that Balakrishna expressed his wish to contest in the Assembly elections. But Naidu is advising him to contest for Lok Sabh as he does not want to form another ‘power centre’ in the party.

Many feel that Chandrababu doesn't want to give assembly seat to Balayya keeping in mind that he might end up being Chandrababu's successor, and his dream of making his son Nara Lokesh, the political heir, will not come true.   

As per reports, Chandrababu has asked Balayya not to contest in this elections and asked him to look after campaigning. 

Sources in the party say that with Balakrishna decided to contest elections this time, the party has reserved some seats for him.

Chandrababu is ready to give either Hindupur or Vijayawada Lok Saha constituencies to Balayya if he wishes to go for Parliament. 

The party also has not selected candidates for Hindupur, Penamaluru and Gannavaram Assembly seats.

The big question remains whether Balayya will opt for Lok Sabha seat instead of his desired Assembly seat or refrain from contesting in this elections like 2009.
