Kanaka Durga temple EO suspended

Executive Officer (EO) of the famous Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada, Raghunath has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

The axe fell on Raghunath as he is stated to have not followed the protocol to be observed for the Cabinet Ministers during the darshan of the Goddess Kanaka Durga.
Several Ministers had gone to the temple for darshan of the Goddess during the recently concluded Navarathri celebrations, for which Vijayawada is very famous across the globe. But the Executive officer is understood to have ignored to follow the protocol being observed for the Cabinet Ministers.

The ministers are understood to have lodged a complaint on the matter to not only the Minister for Endowments but also to the Chief Minister. Taking serious view of this the senior officials today placed under suspension the EO, sources here said.
The Executive Officer was in the thick of controversy as he is stated to have fallen out with other temple officials and also local politicians.
