Jagan remand extended to April 29

Jagan remand extended to April 29 - Sakshi Post

CBI special court on Monday extended the remand of YSR Congress Party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to April 29. The special court also adjourned the hearing on the petition filed by Jagan’s counsel for a combined trial of all the chargesheets after completing the investigation to April 24.

YS Jagan on Monday filed a petition in the CBI court here urging it to take up trial only after the CBI files a final chargesheet. The Kadapa MP opposed separate trial for each chargesheet on the ground that it violates Supreme Court orders in various cases.
Jagan's lawyer argued that the court can begin the combined trial after the investigating agency completes the process of filing the chargesheets. The CBI, however, informed the court that it was probing various aspects of the case and defended separate trial on each chargesheet.
