UoH Scholar To Attend Summer School At Harvard

Hyderabad: Nandi Chinni Kumar, Ph.D. Research Scholar in Comparative Literature, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been selected and will be attending 9th Institute for World Literature (IWL) programme which is going to be held at Harvard University,USA from July 1st to July 25th, 2019.

Chinni Kumar has been awarded a full tuition fee waiver scholarship. In the four week program, he will be attending “Localizing Time in World Literature and World Cinema” and “Close Reading and World Literature” seminars and also will be presenting a paper in “Production, Circulation, and World Literature” Colloquium.

Nandi is a PhD Research Scholar in Comparative Literature at University of Hyderabad. He is an independent Filmmaker as well. He is a talent Campus India alumni (Series of Filmmaking Workshop Conducted by Berlin International Film Festival, and Berlinale Talent Campus) and his short film flycatcher was officially selected in competition and screened at Mumbai International Film Festival 2014 and other festivals. He has written and directed his debut feature English film “The Seventh Bowl” which has been entered into various film festivals.

He has also participated in International conference in Indonesia and presented a paper on Asian Cinema.

Nandi did his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Gachibowli, Graduation from Nizam College and completed Masters in Communication from University of Hyderabad.
