Gold smuggled in boots, two held

Hyderabad: Smuggling of gold has become a common sight at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, Hyderabad.

In yet another gold smuggling case, gold weighing almost one-and-a-half kilo was seized by the customs officers on Wednesday, a day after a similar incident came to light when two men were caught smuggling same amount of gold in the airport.

The duo was arrested after they were found to be suspicious.

The police seized the gold and are questioning the two men.
