Ganta: CWC meet on Telangana will favour Samaikandhra

After the core committee meeting on Telangana, party affairs in-charge of AP, Digvijaya Singh said, "Congress shall now take a decision in the working committee."

The core committee members put the ball in CWC's court. The predictions on what decision the CWC is likely to take has been a hotly debated issue. Here's the latest remark on the issue.

Infrastructure minister Ganta Srinivas Rao expressed confidence that a decision favouring Samaikyandhra will come out during the CWC meeting.

He said there was no need for Congress to politicise the issue in view of the elections. He criticized the TRS saying it was playing dramas in the name of Telangana movement.

He also said that they (Seemandhra) would demand the Centre for package for other backward regions if a special package was announced for the development of Telangana.
