CM's CBI's probe threat a political drama: Shobha

YSR Congress party senior leader and MLA Shobha Nagi Reddy today spurned Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy’s remark that the CBI would soon file a case against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu in the IMG Land case under the court’s directives.

Taking to mediapersons after declaring open a cloth showroom in Kurnool, Sobha Nagi Reddy termed it as a high drama and it is part of their (Naidu and Kiran) nexus operation. Addressing a public meeting at Addanki in Prakasam district yesterday, Kirankumar Reddy said that the CBI would file a case against Naidu in the IMG land case as Naidu had misused his power and alloted expensive lands to the IMG on a platter.

“Kirankumar Reddy’s Government does not dare to take such a step to order for a CBI inquiry into Chandrababu Naidu’s transactions,” she remarked. “It is just part of the game plan of both Naidu and Kiran,” she added.

Even if Naidu undertakes several such exercises like the ongoing padayatra, the TDP would certainly disappear from the State political scene very soon, she predicted. “On the one hand Naidu is undertaking padayatra and on the other leaders and the cadre are deserting the party,” the YSRCP MLA observed. When he could not repose faith in the party workers, how come he would be able to win the confidence of the people, she asked.
