Chandrababu to write a letter to Manmohan on bifurcation

TDP resolved to stay away from the all party meeting convened by Union government on State bifurcation, as it already determined to boycott sending letter to Group of Ministers (GoM), where the deadline for it ended on Tuesday.

According to party sources, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, after meeting the party leaders of the two regions today, decided to write a letter to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the arbitrary method of ruling Congress in dividing the State.

It may be recalled that TDP took a decision favouring the division of the State and gave its letter of consent during all-party meeting last year. But, Chandrababu Naidu donned a fence-sitter role and encouraging leaders of the both regions to cross swords with each other. Meanwhile, Chandrababu, who is allegedly hand in glove with Congress High Command, is conveniently demanding equitable justice to all regions, while indirectly confining to packages to Seemandhra.

“The Centre was requested to engage Joint Action Committees of both regions in talks to resolve contentious issues and address the concerns raised by Seemaandhra people. Since the Union government did not heed to our request, party chief decided to write a letter to the PM,” a politburo member of TDP told the reporters, while briefing on the outcome of the meetings in party office on Tuesday. The sources added that Chandrababu decided to hold further talks with the party leaders of both the regions on the contents of the letter to the Prime Minister.
